Come home to North River Lodge, in the heart of Cape Breton.
A peaceful century home tucked into the highlands of Cape Breton, with a quiet, comfortable room waiting at the end of every day out exploring.

A century home with a quiet, generous heart.
Some places you visit. Others you settle into. North River Lodge has stood watch over this stretch of the Cape Breton highlands for more than a hundred years, and we've spent ours making it a warm, restful place to land.
Inside you'll find original beams and warm wood floors, soft beds dressed for a deep night's sleep, and the kind of stillness that only comes this far up the Trail. Days are for the coastline, the mountains and the long scenic drives. Evenings are for coming home.
Our storyEverything you need. Nothing you don't.
We kept it simple on purpose. A handful of beautiful private rooms, real hospitality, and a setting that does the talking.
